Laurie Botha has been appointed by Sun International as a Miss South Africa & Miss
South Africa Teen scout. He will assist Sun International recruiting candidates to enter and ensure that criteria standards are adhered to. |

Miss SA: Applicants must: a) be at least 18 years of age, & not older than 25 years of age on 1 November 2009 b) be a South African citizen & be in possession of a valid South African passport c) be in possession of a matric certificate or equivalent qualification d) not be married & never had a marriage annulled e) not be engaged f) never have given birth to a child & not be pregnant g) not have any visible tattoos h) must be taller than 1.68m, height measurements to be accurate as entrants will be measured, false information will lead to disqualification i) judges decision is final & no correspondence will be entered into. NB: All Miss SA finalists will be required to perform a limited number of engagements. She will therefore not be eligible to enter another national competition except with the written permission from the organizers. The new Miss SA will remain contracted to the Miss SA Office to perform community related projects for 2 years after the competition of her reign, subject to a maximum of 12 days per year. |
MISS SA & MISS SA TEEN 2009 WORKSHOP: Saturday 25 July 2009 : 11am – 2pm This workshop is to benefit any girls in the Pretoria & Limpopo region that are interested in entering Miss SA or Miss Teen or any other pageant in the future. Modelling schools, model teachers and moms are also invited to attend. LIMPOPO & PRETORIA REGION The 2009 Pretoria & Limpopo, Miss South Africa & Miss SA Teen Workshop will take place on Saturday 25th July at FTV Lounge, Brooklyn, Pretoria. Address: Corner Dey and Middle Street, Brooklyn, Pretoria. (Two blocks away 300m from Brooklyn circle and Brooklyn Mall, next to the Shell Garage) Time: 10:00 - 11:00: Registration 11:00 - 14:00: Workshop The Workshop will be presented by celebrities and professionals: The full program will be finalised in the next few days, including all speakers. Topics covered at the workshop include: What to expect, what Miss SA & Miss SA teen do during their reign, responsibilities and tips. Completing your entry form correctly. The importance of photograph selection for your entry form. Preparing for the pageant Grooming and the importance of image. Hair & make up tips. Importance of first impression, etiquette, manners, attitude and professionalism. The interview process, questions that may be asked and the process of the pageant.
